The 3 Counties Connected Community Rail Partnership had been looking for a Chairperson with enthusiasm and drive to support the partnership, and they are delighted that Nicola Said, has recently taken on the role of Interim Chair until April 2024.
Nicola brings a wealth of experience to the partnership having worked in marketing, tourism, and sustainable travel across the region.
Nicola’s role is to support the partnership, set the agenda, chair steering group meetings and work with all partners and stakeholders to ensure the continued success and growth of the partnership.
Commenting on her recent appointment, Nicola said, “I am excited and honoured to be serving as the new interim Chair. I work for the National Tourism Board VisitEngland, covering both the Northwest and the West Midlands and live in Wrexham, so the 3 Counties Connected Community Rail Partnership is a wonderful opportunity that brings together my three regions of interest!”
“I am particularly interested in sustainable travel, in getting more visitors to the area to travel by train, and increasing the confidence of people living in the area to use the train to explore what is on their doorstep”.
