The 3 Counties Connected Community Rail Partnership brings together local groups and partners to connect our communities with their railway and deliver social benefit
and increasing rail use.
The 3 Counties Connected Community Rail Partnership covers the rail services and engages with the communities along the line of route between Chester - Shrewsbury – Crewe via Wrexham. Operating across the Wales and England Border, covering the local authorities of Cheshire West & Chester, Wrexham County Borough and Shropshire Council.
The Partnership was established in April 2022, and is supported by the Community Rail Network, Transport for Wales and Avanti West Coast and hosted by Groundwork North Wales.
The overall purpose of the Community Rail Partnership is to connect and involve local communities to their railway line to provide economic, social, and environmental benefits to the region’s residents and visitors.
Here we share how we are delivering this by setting out our terms of reference, action plans and minutes from our partnership meetings.
