The annual Community Rail Week took place during the month of May. Here’s a roundup of our activities that make us #MoreThanARailway.

Manchester Piccadilly

We joined Conwy Valley and North Wales Coast Community Rail Partnership, Transport for Wales and many more Community Rail Partnerships at Manchester Piccadilly promoting the amazing places to visit by rail across our Partnership’s network. We had a busy day chatting to passengers, inspiring sustainable journeys and new adventures.

Train Trip with Abermorddu Community Primary

We enjoyed an inspiring train trip with children from Abermorddu CP to Wrexham General! We learned about how to stay safe around the railways, showcased our community art project, and promoted the joys of rail travel. Plus, a friendly chat with British Transport Police Mersey.

Birmingham New Street

We have been working closely with our local Destination Management Organisations on a new project, ‘Tourism Connect‘. This is Wrexham came to lend a helping hand at the Wales on Rails stand in Birmingham New Street, promoting sustainable trips in Wales and borders.

Wrenbury Station Art Project

During Community Rail Week we were delighted to officially unveil the Wrenbury Station Art Project.

Guided by artist Cathy Williams, the pupils of Wrenbury Primary School have brought to life their love for Wrenbury, capturing the essence of the village in their art, creating a vibrant shelter for passengers to adore. Read more about the project here.
