After a number of months in the planning, we are excited to announce the launch of our new website.
Our railway line connects Chester, Wrexham, Shrewsbury and Crewe and is a vital link between these communities on the borders of England and Wales.
The website will be promoting our community rail partnership, which is developing and supporting several community initiatives, encouraging sustainable tourism and promoting outdoor activities using public transport along the rail line. Through our website the partnership is encouraging community initiatives and volunteering for all ages, supporting friends of groups, school and youth groups to look after and make local stations greener and more accessible.
The website will feature the stations on the 3 Counties Connected Rail line and news articles will keep readers up to date with all that is happening for the benefit of people living and working locally, local businesses and visitors.
Josie Rayworth, Community Rail Officer for 3 Counties Connected commented.
“I am really proud to see our new website launched, it will be a platform to show what Wrexham County Borough and the border areas around the counties of Shropshire and Cheshire have to offer.
We ask people to keep an eye out for our news articles featuring events and activities and to let us know about any interesting activities and events that are happening along the rail line.”
People can follow the progress of the partnership on social media. Anyone wanting to find out more about the partnership please contact Josie Rayworth at on 01978 757524 or email josie.rayworth@3countiesconnected.org.uk
